Spiritual Renewal Can be Healthy

306566481_ba1b04244a.jpgIn order to help the environment, sometimes you have to help yourself out first. So when is the last time you got back to your spiritual roots? RENEW International is a Roman Catholic ministry dedicated to spiritual renewal.

Over the past three years, RENEW International has helped 25 million people in over 23 countries. If you’re more of a humanitarian, consider volunteering for an organization like this.

There are over 150 diocese of RENEW International in the United States, and they all have the same goal, which is met through programs that they plan every year. How do you see yourself making a positive impact on the world? Maybe it’s through helping one person at a time, or you might need to take step back and look at yourself first.

Eyeglasses Can Be Eco-friendly

3852900728_ce728448ef.jpgSeveral years ago, I had difficulty wearing contacts because of my allergies and re-occurring eye infections. The solution was to wear disposable contacts, so every night I was throwing out a pair and every morning I was putting a new pair in. How wasteful was that solution?

Fortunately, my allergies stopped giving me problems and now I can wear 30-day contact lenses with no problem. However, for those of you who still have an issue, why not wear your eyeglasses? This can be an eco-friendly and money saving opportunity for you.

There are so many cool designs too. Check out Eyeglasses.com, because they have a wide variety such as retro, vintage, flexible, rimless, etc. The hardest decision about your switch will probably be choosing which frame to purchase!

Plants Change Your Mood

Published by catseyeediting under Health Edit This

When you’re hibernating in the winter season, the inside of your house can become boring and stale. Since opening the windows isn’t an option, decorate your home with real plants. Plants can help filter the air and freshen it. Although you have to remember to water them, it’s nice to have some natural color in your home.

Flowers can also make you feel better. The scent of tea roses or one of your favorite flowers can help brighten the day. Gerber daisies are fun and colorful, and they can add a lot of personality to your home or apartment. Not only will some greenery make you smile, it will make your guests smile too.

Help Yourself First

Published by catseyeediting under Health Edit This

I definitely believe that it’s important to help yourself first before helping others and the environment. You have to be at the top of your game and confident in yourself before you hold an eco-friendly rally or event. In order to be at your best, it’s important to get physicals, eye exams, dental exams, etc. I know that this is difficult, especially when you don’t have insurance or a lot of money. However, I can’t stress enough the importance of preserving your health. If you don’t have insurance but work hard, check out local clinics that charge on a sliding scale. There’s no shame in that, but there is shame in ignoring your body and letting the worst happen.
