Soup Kitchen Volunteers
This week I volunteered at a local soup kitchen with some of my coworkers. I have to admit that I was somewhat nervous since I haven’t volunteered for something like this since I was in high school, but it was a rewarding experience. Helping the environment is also about helping the people who live on it. When you serve food at a soup kitchen, I bet you will walk out of there with more of a desire to do good. It’s amazing that these people still have the urge to walk around with smiles on their face and take time to laugh. There is so much to be grateful for, and it’s important to realize this and protect the environment that sustains us.
